CGAuxA Associate Membership ProgramView the
Associate Member Brochure [.pdf file] The all-volunteer United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, created by act
of Congress in 1939 to assist the U.S. Coast Guard, depends on private
financial resources to conduct its vital missions of Homeland Security
and Maritime Public Safety. The U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary volunteers stand as important
contributors to homeland security, helping keep our country safe from
terrorist threats. Trained Coast Guard Auxiliary members carry out the
same missions as the U.S. Coast Guard itself, except for armed combat
and law enforcement. The Coast Guard Auxiliary receives no direct funding from the federal
government. Volunteer Auxiliarist serve without compensation and come
from all walks of life. The members themselves provide most of the
required financial resources for maintaining the organizational
structure and mission support of the Auxiliary. The Auxiliary's maritime public security and safety responsibilities
expanded greatly after 9-11. With increasing threats to American
security and interests, the challenges of supporting the Auxiliary have
grown in direct proportion. Patriotic and concerned citizens may assist
in meeting these increased responsibilities by supporting the Auxiliary
with their financial gifts. Contributions enable volunteer Auxiliarists
to achieve a higher level of readiness and mission accomplishment. Annual Individual Membership Categories(If you wish, proceed directly to our secure
