Our Flotilla Vessel Examiner
. Vessel safety checks are a courtesy and cost you nothing but the
few minutes it takes for our examiners to check to see that your vessel has
all the required safety items on board. If you have all the required safety equipment on board when we inspect your vessel, the Auxiliary provides you with a sticker valid for the calendar year in which it was issued. Some insurance companies even offer discounts for vessels that satisfy our safety checks. Please don't be deceived by the popular misconception that the Auxiliary reports any missing equipment to the Department of Natural Resources or any other agency -- we do not! Our only mission is to ensure that you have safety equipment necessary should you find yourself in an emergency situation. |
